Janelle Cooper has been active in the Calgary arts community since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Calgary in 2005. She is a specialist in Performance Creation, with a passion for exploring the Black experience and African oral traditions through her work. Select acting, writing, directing & producing credits include: The Canadian Premiere of Ruined, Harvest of Moon's Belly, A Djembe Love Story, Weave: Episodes 1 & 2, Superwomen, The Vagina Monologues and Under The Nut Tree (Ellipsis Tree Collective); Penelopiad and Toad of Toad Hall (ATP); Doubt (Radio Nights); Curvalicious 2009 & 2011 and The Venus of Basin Street (Urban Curvz Theatre), Things Fall Apart (Cheryl Foggo). Recent principal film credits include Kaitlin Mays in Snow 2: Brain Freeze (ABC/Disney), and Louise "Loo" Hector in Highnoon (Lifetime).
